Friday Snowman art
Welcome back and Happy New Year! We had a great first week back from the holidays. The students did well getting back into the routine of things.
We continue to work on numbers 1-5. Ask me to find these
numbers or count a number of objects. I am working on recognizing, representing
the number and thinking of two numbers that could make 5.
Our topic this week during Roots of Empathy is “What goes in
a diaper bag?” We talked a lot about what a baby needs and why it is important
for their caregiver to be prepared at all times. Ask me to tell you what items
a parent will need in their bag and why it is important.
Ask me to tell you what we have been learning about snow and
snowflakes! We are going to become experts as we explore the many different
properties of snow.
AM kindergarten did some snowman art on Friday. Ask me to
tell you about this and how I made it.
Love,
Kindergarten
Housekeeping:
Friday January 13, PM attends.
Swimming ability forms return by Jan 16.
We would encourage all students to participate in the
swimming. If you or your child is concerned about swimming because they have
very little experience with water, please know that they are in VERY good
hands! The instructors at Bob Bahan are fantastic and your child’s teacher will
be on the swimming deck as well to assist. Students will be expected to attend
school that week if they do not participate in swimming. They will join a grade
½ class for the duration of swimming days. If you have any questions or
concerns, please contact your child’s teacher.
