Dear Mom and Dad:
A short week but always lots of learning happening in kindergarten! Ask me to tell you about Roots of Empathy and learning about what feelings are.
We continued talking about the Zones of Regulation. We will continue to use this language. Ask me to tell you what the different zones are and how I am feeling in each one. We talked about the different "tools" we have in our feelings toolbox to help us move to the green zone if we are in any other zone. Ask me to tell you about the Pigeon and Pete the Cat and describe to you how these characters help me learn about feelings. I learned that I have self control and am in control of my actions. Ask me to tell you about the Bubbles test!
We took a closer look at the letter U this week. Ask me to tell you what sound it makes. We have been singing songs to go with the letters. We have worked on P,B and U.
Here is the link to all the songs. I can sing the ones I know for you! Jolly Phonics Songs
Mrs. McBride has been working with all of us on our christmas songs for the concert. Our Christmas Concert will be on Monday December 5 at 6:00pm @ Cranston School. Entry into the concert will be a donation of a new/gently used toy, money or food item which will be donated.
**Team Wonder did not send home Thursdays book this week.
We are looking forward to seeing you at parent conference.
Have a great weekend!
Love,
Kindergarten

Help us bring some Christmas joy to our city’s homeless
The Fill a Sock, Fill a Need campaign provides a Christmas “stocking” of essential needs and small personal items to those in need.
We are asking each student to donate $5 (or more J) to help fill socks to be donated to the Drop In Centre. If possible, we would also ask students to donate a pair of new, warm, adult sized socks.
We strongly encourage students to earn their donation money by doing chores around the house - shoveling snow, taking out the garbage…etc.
We will be collecting money from students between November 21st and December 1st. We will also be collecting cash donations during Parent Teacher Interviews.
